Brooklyn Residential is an student apartment block located on Erf 24 on Lynnwood Road. It is the first of the phased residential scheme. With its prime location in proximity to the Pretoria university (Tuks), it is envisioned to be an iconic residential building that not only is contemporary but also makes reference to the timeless masonry architecture of the older Pretoria.

The “zig-zag” facade concept not only provides a shading solution but also incorporates coordinates key structural practicalities and efficiencies. The idea was to propose a much needed shading solution that is an integral part of the building. From structural concept to internal unit layouts to materiality the building presents itself with honesty and integrity.
